A Beginning

The creation of FurHorizon Québec was born from a shared idea: to spread and celebrate the joy of being furry, among fellow furries and within the community.

It is a long-standing dream finally taking flight. After a sometimes difficult journey, but also one filled with unexpected and meaningful encounters, this project has opened a new gateway to bring together, support, and help the furry community grow.

FurHorizon Quebec was officially launched on April 19, 2026, and held its first community activity on May 15, 2026. In response to the enthusiasm and interest shown by the community, the team decided to begin the necessary steps to become a non-profit organization — NPO.

This process will allow the association to access various services under its own name, obtain an official structure, and better support community projects.

The Association’s Objectives

FurHorizon Quebec aims to support the community in carrying out various projects, events, and initiatives. The association wishes to provide concrete, human, and organizational support to people who want to contribute positively to the community.

  • Provide the necessary support for projects organized by the community.
  • Promote a fairer, more nuanced, and more representative vision of the community, its values, and its reality.
  • Guarantee a safe, inclusive, and respectful space, regardless of region, language, opinion, or religion.
  • Manage the association transparently and answer questions where they are asked, whenever possible.
  • Offer services requiring a business number, as well as any relevant assistance when needed.

Current Status

For the moment, FurHorizon Quebec is an unregistered association. However, the name has been reserved and the process is underway to proceed with its official registration as a non-profit organization.

Several services will be offered to the community throughout the year to help members bring their projects to life and develop new initiatives.
